TBA Held over the first weekend in August, the annual Leadville Boom Days festival brings the town to life. Featured over the weekend is the well-known International Pack Burro Race, which has competitors leading donkeys on a 21 mi (34 km) trek. Other activities include a gun show, a street fair, costume contests, food stands, vendors, mining competitions and much more.
